Possible Causes

Mower not correctly seated on charging contacts, Bent or corroded charging contacts, Misaligned charging station guide rails, Loose charging station mounting

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect mains power to the charging station before adjusting it. Turn off the mower's main switch.

  • Check docking position: Place the mower manually into the station. Ensure the front bumper is fully against the station stop and the mower sits level.
  • Inspect contacts: Examine the charging contacts on both the mower and station. Clean them with a dry cloth or fine abrasive pad if corroded. Do not use oil or grease.
  • Adjust station position: Make sure the station is on a flat, firm surface. Re-anchor it if it has sunk or tilted. Align the guide rails so the mower enters straight.
  • Check cable routing: Ensure the boundary and guide wires enter the station as specified by AL-KO, without pulling or twisting the base.
  • Test docking: Restore power, turn on the mower, and command it to return to base. Observe its approach and adjust the station slightly if it consistently misses the contacts.
  • Inspect contact springs: If the station contacts do not spring out properly, the contact block may be worn and should be replaced.
