Possible Causes
Sticking blade motor relay on PCB, Faulty safety circuit, Software control delay, Contaminated emergency stop button contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If blades do not stop promptly, immediately turn off the main switch and keep clear of the cutting area. Do not use the mower until repaired.
- Test stop function: In a controlled environment, start the mower and press the stop button. Measure the time until blades stop. It should match AL-KO safety specifications.
- Inspect stop button: Check that the stop button moves freely and is not obstructed by dirt. Clean around it.
- PCB inspection: Have a qualified technician inspect the main PCB for a sticking relay or damaged safety components.
- Replace PCB: If the blade stop time is outside specification, replace the main control PCB. Do not attempt to repair safety relays yourself.
