Possible Causes
Guide wire not installed or broken, Charging station placed in a corner or narrow area, Boundary wire layout not providing clear path, Faulty home signal receiver in mower
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the mower before carrying it back to the station.
- Check station placement: Ensure the charging station is installed on a flat, open area with a straight approach path as recommended by AL-KO.
- Inspect guide wire: If your model uses a guide wire, verify it is connected correctly at the station and not broken along its length.
- Adjust layout: Avoid sharp turns or narrow passages near the station. Re-route the boundary and guide wires to provide a wide corridor.
- Test return function: Manually command the mower to return home and observe its path. If it wanders or loses the signal, the home signal receiver or loop sensor may be faulty.
- Service receiver: Have an AL-KO technician test and replace the home signal receiver if necessary.
