Possible Causes
Dull or chipped blades, Blades installed incorrectly, Cutting height set too low, Deck clogged with wet grass
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the main switch and wear gloves before handling blades.
- Inspect blades: Check each blade for sharpness and damage. Replace blades at least once per season or more often in heavy use.
- Correct installation: Ensure blades are mounted with the correct side facing out and that screws are tightened securely.
- Adjust height: Raise the cutting height if the mower is scalping the lawn or leaving clumps in tall grass.
- Clean deck: Remove built-up grass from the underside of the deck to improve airflow and mulching.
- Mow more frequently: Schedule more frequent mowing sessions to keep grass height within the mower's optimal range.
