Possible Causes
GPS antenna cable disconnected, GPS module not powered, Water ingress in GPS housing, Faulty GPS module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the lawn.
- Move to open sky: Ensure the robot is in an open area away from buildings and trees. Some models may show temporary GPS errors in poor reception areas.
- Inspect GPS housing: On Ambrogio models with a visible GPS dome or module, check for cracks or signs of water ingress.
- Check internal connection: Open the top cover and locate the GPS module and its antenna cable. Confirm that the connector is firmly attached to the main board or GPS PCB.
- Dry out moisture: If moisture is present, allow the robot to dry completely indoors (powered OFF, cover open) for 24 hours, then retest.
- If E012 persists: The GPS module likely needs replacement with an Ambrogio-compatible GPS unit.
