Possible Causes

Robot operating in direct sun at high ambient temperature, Cooling airflow blocked by grass, Faulty temperature sensor on main board, Battery overheating

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and move it to a shaded, cool area.

  • Allow to cool: Let the robot sit powered OFF for at least 30 minutes before restarting.
  • Clean ventilation: Inspect and clean any ventilation slots or openings in the chassis. Remove grass buildup that could trap heat.
  • Adjust schedule: Program mowing times for cooler parts of the day (morning or evening) to reduce thermal stress.
  • Check battery temperature: If the battery compartment feels very hot, the battery pack may be aging or faulty and should be evaluated or replaced.
  • If E017 appears quickly after cool-down: The internal temperature sensor on the main board may be defective and require board replacement.
