Possible Causes
Encoder magnet ring damaged, Hall sensor misaligned, Dirt blocking encoder, Broken encoder cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and tip it on its side on a soft surface.
- Inspect wheel hubs: On many Ambrogio models, the wheel encoder magnet ring is integrated into the wheel or motor. Check for cracks, missing magnets, or heavy dirt buildup.
- Clean encoder area: Use a soft brush to remove dirt and grass from around the encoder and sensor.
- Check sensor wiring: Trace the small encoder cable from the wheel motor to the main board. Ensure connectors are secure and wires are not cut.
- Test movement: After cleaning, power ON and run a short test. If E019 reappears on the same side, the encoder sensor or motor assembly may need replacement.
