Ambrogio Poor Cut Quality / Mulching Performance

Robot lawnmower leaves clumps of grass and the cut looks ragged, especially in wet conditions

Possible Causes

Dull or damaged blades, Cutting height set too low, Mowing when grass is too wet or tall, Blade disc speed reduced by friction

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and wear gloves when handling blades.

  • Replace blades: Install new genuine Ambrogio blades. Dull blades tear grass, causing ragged edges and clumping.
  • Adjust cutting height: Raise the cutting height one or two steps using the Ambrogio height adjustment knob or mechanism, especially if the grass is long.
  • Mow more frequently: Program shorter, more frequent mowing sessions so the robot cuts small amounts each time.
  • Avoid very wet grass: If possible, schedule mowing for dry periods. Wet grass sticks under the deck and reduces blade speed; clean the underside regularly.
