Robot lawnmower runs for a very short time and returns to the base, even though the battery is relatively new

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the lawn.

• Check for mechanical drag: Spin the blade disc and wheels by hand. They should move smoothly without excessive resistance. Investigate any stiff components.
• Clean underside: Remove thick grass buildup from under the cutting deck and around wheels. This reduces load on the motors.
• Verify battery specification: Ensure the installed battery pack matches the original Ambrogio specification for voltage and capacity.
• Recalibrate battery (if supported): Fully charge the robot, then run it until it stops from low battery, and fully charge again. This can help the BMS recalibrate on some models.
