Possible Causes
Broken perimeter wire, Disconnected boundary wire at charging station, Faulty boundary wire connector, Defective charging station transmitter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the charging station from mains before handling boundary wires.
- Check LED on charging station: On Bosch Indego stations, a steady or flashing LED indicates boundary status. Refer to the manual for LED meaning; if off, check power supply.
- Inspect boundary wire connections: Ensure both ends of the loop are firmly inserted into the station terminals and that the insulation is stripped correctly.
- Walk the perimeter: Look for visible cuts, damage from gardening tools, or rodent bites. Pay special attention to path crossings and edges.
- Use a wire break locator or multimeter: Measure continuity of the loop from the station. A high resistance or open circuit indicates a break that must be repaired with Bosch-compatible boundary wire connectors.
- If the loop is intact: The charging station PCB or its transmitter coil may be defective and require replacement.
