Possible Causes

Excessive slope beyond mower specification, Tilt sensor miscalibrated, Tilt sensor module damaged, Loose mounting screws on tilt sensor bracket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Power OFF the mower and avoid working on steep slopes. Secure the mower on level ground.

  • Check slope angle: Verify that the area where E05 occurs is within the maximum gradient allowed by Cedrus for your model. Relocate the boundary wire to exclude overly steep zones if necessary.
  • Inspect for impacts: Look for signs of heavy impact or rollover that may have affected the internal tilt sensor.
  • Reset on level surface: Place the mower on a flat, level area. Turn power ON and allow it to complete its startup sequence. Some models auto‑calibrate the tilt sensor at power‑on.
  • Internal inspection: If user‑serviceable, open the top housing and locate the tilt sensor module (often a small PCB or sealed sensor). Ensure it is firmly screwed to its bracket and that the connector is secure.
  • Persistent E05: If the mower shows E05 even on flat ground, the tilt sensor module or main board should be replaced by an authorized Cedrus service center.
