Possible Causes

Cooling fan blocked or failed, Ventilation grilles clogged with debris, High ambient temperature and direct sun exposure, Temperature sensor fault on main board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and allow it to cool in a shaded area before opening any covers.

  • Relocate charging station: Ensure the station and mower are not in direct midday sun. Provide shade or move to a cooler location if possible.
  • Clean vents: Inspect and clean all ventilation openings with a soft brush or compressed air. Do not use water.
  • Check internal fan: If your Cedrus model has an internal cooling fan, open the housing (if user‑serviceable) and verify that the fan spins freely and is not obstructed by wires or debris.
  • Temperature sensor check: Look for loose connectors on the temperature sensor harness attached to the main board or battery.
  • Persistent overheating: If E13 recurs even in cool conditions with clean vents, the fan or temperature sensor may need replacement, or the main board may be misreading temperatures. Contact a service center.
