Possible Causes

Rear handle not fully locked down, Rear lift sensor stuck, Damaged rear sensor wiring, Faulty rear safety switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower before lifting or tilting it. Keep fingers away from the blade area.

  • Check rear handle position: Ensure any carrying handle or rear cover is fully closed and latched as per the manual.
  • Inspect rear sensor area: Look for debris or deformation around the rear lift sensor or handle pivot that could prevent proper switch operation.
  • Test sensor function: With the mower OFF, gently move the handle while listening for a click from the internal switch. Lack of click may indicate a broken switch.
  • Wiring check: If accessible, verify that the rear sensor connector is firmly attached to the main board and that the cable is not pinched.
  • Replacement: If the sensor or switch is physically damaged or unresponsive, replace the rear lift/handle switch assembly with a Cedrus part.
