Possible Causes
Stuck front bumper, Broken bumper spring, Faulty bumper microswitches, Misaligned bumper frame
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove the battery connector before working near the bumper.
- Check bumper movement: Press the front bumper in and release. It should move freely and spring back evenly across its width.
- Clean debris: Remove grass, mud, or stones lodged between the bumper and chassis.
- Inspect springs and mounts: Look for broken springs or cracked plastic mounts that prevent proper movement.
- Test switches (advanced): With the cover removed, manually operate the bumper and listen/feel for the microswitch clicks. Replace the bumper switch assembly if switches are unresponsive or stuck.
