Possible Causes
Dirty or damaged wheel encoder disc, Failed wheel Hall sensor, Broken encoder wiring, Faulty motor control circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power and disconnect the battery. Support the mower securely before removing wheels.
- Remove drive wheel: Take off the wheel cap and retaining hardware to access the encoder area on the drive motor.
- Clean encoder: Gently clean the encoder disc and sensor area with a soft brush. Remove grass and dust that may block the sensor.
- Inspect disc: Check for cracks or missing segments on the encoder disc. Replace the disc or entire motor/gearbox if damaged.
- Check wiring: Follow the encoder wires to the main PCB and ensure connectors are secure.
If E013 persists after cleaning and inspection, the drive motor/encoder assembly or main board may require replacement.
