How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power and disconnect battery before opening the control panel.
- Shade test: Move the mower into shade to confirm if the issue is backlight or just sunlight glare.
- Check connections: Open the control panel and reseat the LCD ribbon cable on the main PCB.
- Drying: If condensation is visible under the display, allow the mower to dry indoors for 24–48 hours.
- Replace display: If the backlight remains dim or dead, replace the Cub Cadet display module or upper control panel assembly.
