Possible Causes
Battery pack completely discharged, Faulty main power switch, Blown internal fuse, Disconnected battery harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not short battery terminals. Work in a dry area.
- Check charging station: Verify the power supply LED is on and the outlet has power. Try another outlet if unsure.
- Force charge: Place the mower on the charging base and leave it for several hours. Some Cub Cadet packs need time to wake from deep discharge.
- Inspect main switch: Ensure the main power switch is firmly in the ON position and not damaged.
- Battery connection: Open the battery compartment and confirm the battery connector is fully seated. Look for melted plastic or discoloration.
- Fuse check (if accessible): Some models have an inline or board‑mounted fuse. Replace only with the same rating if visibly blown.
If the mower remains completely dead after confirming power and connections, the battery pack or main PCB likely needs professional diagnosis.
