Possible Causes
Battery pack worn out or high internal resistance, Loose battery connector, Faulty cell in lithium battery pack, Charging station not fully charging battery
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove it from the lawn. Do not attempt to open the battery pack casing.
- Check charge level: Place the mower on the charging station and allow it to charge until the display or app shows 100%.
- Inspect battery connector: With power OFF, remove the top cover and verify that the battery connector is firmly seated on the mainboard and shows no signs of overheating or corrosion.
- Runtime test: Start a mowing cycle and time how long the mower runs before E09 appears. If runtime is significantly shorter than specified, the battery is likely degraded.
- Check station output: Use a multimeter (if qualified) to verify that the station provides the correct DC voltage at the contacts when powered.
- Environmental factors: Very cold temperatures can reduce battery capacity. Try charging and operating the mower in moderate temperatures.
If E09 recurs after a full charge and connections are secure, replace the battery pack with a compatible Ecovacs lithium battery module.
