Possible Causes

Grass or debris jammed in height adjustment mechanism, Height motor actuator seized, Height sensor potentiometer failed, Height motor wiring loose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the main power and wear gloves before working near the cutting deck.

  • Inspect height mechanism: Locate the cutting height adjustment area. Remove grass buildup and debris from around the moving parts.
  • Manual movement test: If the design allows, gently move the deck up and down by hand to free any sticking points. Do not force it.
  • Check actuator wiring: Remove the cover and verify that the height motor connector is firmly attached to the mainboard.
  • Run adjustment test: Power ON the mower and attempt to change cutting height via the app or control panel. Listen for motor movement or grinding noises.

If the motor does not run or E14 appears immediately, the height adjustment motor/actuator assembly is likely faulty and should be replaced.
