Possible Causes
Open or shorted drive motor, Damaged drive motor cable, Water ingress in motor housing, Failed H‑bridge driver on mainboard
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and disconnect the charging station from mains. Support the mower securely before working underneath.
- Check wheel movement: Rotate each drive wheel by hand. If one side is significantly stiffer, the motor or gearbox may be failing.
- Inspect connectors: Access the drive motor connectors inside the mower. Ensure they are fully seated and free of corrosion or burnt marks.
- Look for water damage: Examine the motor housings and nearby wiring for signs of moisture or rust. Dry thoroughly and improve sealing if grommets are damaged.
- Swap test (advanced): On some models, left and right motor connectors can be swapped temporarily to see if the fault follows the motor or stays with the mainboard channel. Only do this if clearly documented in the service manual.
- Replace faulty part: Replace the affected drive motor assembly if it is electrically or mechanically defective. If both motors test good, the mainboard drive circuit likely needs replacement.
