Possible Causes
Moisture in keypad, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Corroded connector between keypad and mainboard, Faulty control panel PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and disconnect the charging station from mains before opening the housing.
- Dry the keypad: If the mower was recently exposed to rain or washing, allow it to dry in a warm, ventilated area for 24 hours. Do not use direct heat guns.
- Inspect cable: Open the top cover and locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the mainboard. Ensure it is fully inserted and not kinked or torn.
- Clean connectors: Gently unplug the ribbon cable and clean the contacts with electronic contact cleaner. Reinsert firmly.
- Check for cracks: Examine the keypad PCB for visible cracks or corrosion. If present, the panel should be replaced.
- Test operation: Reassemble the mower and power it on. If E13 persists and buttons still misbehave, replace the complete keypad/control panel module.
