Possible Causes
Boundary wire shorted together, Wire loops crossing too closely, Damaged insulation causing ground short, Strong electromagnetic interference near wire
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the charging station from mains power before adjusting the boundary wire.
- Check station LED pattern: Refer to the Einhell manual for LED codes indicating a short circuit. A rapid flashing LED often indicates a short.
- Inspect for wire crossings: Ensure the boundary wire does not cross over itself or run in parallel too closely for long distances. Maintain the spacing recommended in the manual.
- Look for crushed or pinched wire: Check where the wire passes under paving stones, edging, or heavy objects. Replace sections with damaged insulation using waterproof connectors.
- Remove interference sources: Keep the boundary wire away from other buried cables (power, telecom) and metal fences where possible. If unavoidable, increase distance or reroute.
- Retest: After corrections, reconnect power to the charging station and verify that the LED shows normal operation and E7 no longer appears.
