- Look for water traces: Open the housing and inspect the mainboard and connectors for water marks or corrosion. Clean gently with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Improve protection: Ensure all covers are properly latched and screws tightened. If the housing is cracked, replace the upper shell.
