Possible Causes
Open circuit in cutting motor, Damaged cutting motor cable, Faulty motor driver on main PCB, Seized cutting disc hub
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and wear gloves before inspecting the cutting system.
- Check disc movement: Turn the mower over and manually rotate the cutting disc. If it is seized, investigate for debris or bearing failure.
- Inspect wiring: Look for visible damage to the cutting motor cable where it enters the deck and chassis. Do not pull on the cable.
- Reset and test: After clearing any obstruction, turn the mower upright, switch ON, and start a manual mow to see if the motor starts.
- Electrical fault: If the disc spins freely but E14 persists, the cutting motor or its driver circuit on the main PCB is likely defective. Replacement of the cutting motor assembly is usually the first step.
