Possible Causes
Deeply discharged battery pack, Aged lithium‑ion battery cells, Poor contact at battery connector, Faulty battery management circuitry on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove it from the lawn. Do not attempt to open the battery pack casing yourself.
- Charge fully: Place the mower in the charging station and ensure the station LED indicates charging. Leave it on charge for at least 12–24 hours, especially after long storage.
- Check contacts: Inspect the charging contacts on the mower and station for corrosion or dirt. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Warm up cold batteries: If the mower has been stored in a very cold shed, bring it indoors to room temperature for several hours, then attempt charging again.
- Battery age: If the mower is several seasons old and runtime is very short, the internal battery pack may have reached end of life and require replacement with a Flymo‑specified pack.
- Persistent E6: If E6 remains after extended charging and contact cleaning, the battery pack or charging electronics may be faulty. Replacement of the battery pack is usually the first step.
