Possible Causes
Very tall or wet grass, Dull or damaged Gardena blades, Grass packed under cutting disc, Failing cutting motor drawing excess current
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Press STOP, switch OFF, and remove the key before accessing the blades.
- Raise cutting height: Set the mower to its highest cutting position and mow the lawn over several days to gradually reduce height.
- Clean deck: Turn the mower over and remove all packed grass from the cutting disc and underside of the chassis.
- Replace blades: Fit new original Gardena blades and screws. Dull blades increase load on the motor.
- Check disc balance: Ensure all blades are present and evenly spaced. Missing blades can unbalance the disc and overload the motor.
- Test on lighter area: Try mowing a less dense section of lawn to see if the error still occurs.
If overloads continue with sharp blades and normal grass, the cutting motor may be worn and require replacement.
