Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands away from blades. Press STOP and switch the mower OFF. Unplug the power supply before inspecting wiring.
- Check power supply: Confirm the Gardena power adapter is firmly plugged into a live wall outlet and into the charging station. Verify the outlet has power by testing with another device.
- Inspect power cable: Look for cuts, crushed sections, or signs of overheating on the low-voltage cable from the adapter to the station. Replace the power supply if damaged.
- Check charging station LEDs: Most Gardena stations have a status LED. Refer to the manual: a steady green usually indicates a healthy loop; no light or red/flash patterns indicate a fault.
- Disconnect loop wires: Remove boundary and guide wires from the station. Power the station with no wires connected. If the LED still indicates a loop error, the station or power supply may be defective.
- Check for short circuits: With the wires disconnected at the station, measure resistance between the two boundary wire ends. Very low resistance (near 0 Ω) on a long loop can indicate a short (wires twisted together or damaged). Inspect and separate any crossed or pinched sections.
- Reconnect carefully: Reinsert the boundary and guide wires into the correct terminals (marked on the Gardena base) and tighten firmly.
- Restart system: Plug in the power supply, wait for the LED to show normal status, then place the mower on the station and start it.
If there is still no loop signal with a known-good power supply and wiring, the charging station electronics likely need replacement.
