Possible Causes
Faulty internal tilt sensor, Loose mounting of main PCB or sensor module, Excessive slope beyond Gardena model specification, Firmware miscalibration after impact
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Press STOP and switch OFF the mower before moving it.
- Check slope angle: Verify that the mower is not operating on slopes steeper than the maximum allowed for your Gardena model (typically around 25–35%). Move the charging station and boundary wire if necessary.
- Relocate mower: Place the mower on a flat, level surface and restart it. If the error clears, the previous area may be too steep or uneven.
- Inspect for impact damage: Look for signs of the mower having rolled or flipped, which can damage the tilt sensor or main board mounts.
- Internal inspection: If comfortable, open the housing and ensure the main PCB is firmly screwed down and that any separate tilt sensor module is secure.
- Power cycle: Turn the mower OFF for 1–2 minutes, then restart to reset the sensor.
Persistent tilt errors on level ground usually indicate a failed tilt sensor or main PCB that should be replaced by a service technician.
