Possible Causes

Charging station not level or sunken into ground, Boundary or guide wire incorrectly positioned under the station, Obstruction at station entrance, Damaged front guide plate or docking contacts on mower

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Press STOP and switch OFF the mower before lifting it from the station.

  • Remove mower: Lift the mower off the charging station and inspect the base area for stones, roots, or other obstacles.
  • Check station alignment: Ensure the Gardena charging station is level, firmly anchored, and not tilted or twisted.
  • Inspect entrance ramp: Confirm the plastic ramp and guide surfaces are intact and not broken or bent.
  • Verify wire routing: The boundary and guide wires should be laid straight into the station according to the Gardena installation guide, with no sharp bends or loops that could misguide the mower.
  • Clean charging contacts: Wipe the charging contacts on both the mower and station with a dry cloth to remove corrosion or grass sap.
  • Test undocking: Place the mower back on the station and start a manual departure. Watch its path and adjust the station position if it scrapes or catches.

If the mower still cannot exit smoothly, the front chassis or docking mechanism may be damaged and require replacement.
