Possible Causes
Boundary wire broken and reconnected incorrectly, Wire laid too far from edge, Strong external electromagnetic fields, Faulty boundary sensor in mower
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Press STOP and switch OFF the mower before adjusting the boundary wire.
- Verify wire path: Compare the actual boundary wire layout with your original plan and the Gardena manual.
- Move wire closer: Adjust the boundary wire closer to the lawn edge where the mower escapes, respecting minimum distances from obstacles.
- Check for unauthorized splices: Ensure any repairs used original Gardena connectors and that no wires are crossed.
- Test boundary sensor: Place the mower just inside and just outside the boundary to see if it detects the wire correctly. If not, the internal sensor may be faulty.
If the mower continues to ignore a correctly installed boundary, the boundary detection circuitry on the mower may need service.
