Possible Causes
Debris jammed behind front bumper, Broken bumper spring or mount, Faulty bumper microswitch or sensor strip, Loose bumper sensor cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the main power switch before inspecting the bumper area.
- Check bumper movement: Gently press the front bumper in and release. It should move freely and spring back without sticking.
- Remove debris: Look between the bumper and chassis for packed grass, twigs, or stones. Remove carefully.
- Inspect for damage: Check for cracks, bent mounts, or missing springs that could prevent proper movement.
- Check sensor cable (if visible): Ensure the cable from the bumper sensor to the main body is not pinched or disconnected.
- Power cycle: After cleaning, turn power ON and test operation by gently pressing the bumper while the mower is in test mode (if available).
If E010 remains and the bumper is mechanically free, the bumper sensor assembly may need replacement.
