Possible Causes
Cutting disc jammed by debris, Blade motor overloaded by tall or wet grass, Worn blade motor bearings, Faulty blade motor current sensor on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF the main power and remove the battery if accessible. Never work near the blades with power ON.
- Inspect cutting disc: Turn the mower upside down on a soft surface. Check the cutting disc and blades for wrapped grass, rope, wire, or branches. Remove all debris with pliers or a brush—never with bare hands.
- Check blade rotation: With power OFF, gently rotate the cutting disc by hand. It should spin freely without grinding. If it is stiff or seized, the blade motor may be damaged.
- Short grass test: Move the mower to a small area of short, dry grass and restart. If it runs normally there but fails in tall grass, reduce cutting height and mow in stages.
- Inspect blades: Replace bent, heavily nicked, or rusted blades. Use only compatible Hecht Robot Mower Blades and tighten screws firmly.
- If E2 remains: The Blade Motor or its wiring may be failing. A technician should measure motor resistance and check for burnt smell or discoloration. Replace the blade motor if out of spec.
