Possible Causes
Shorted motor winding (blade or drive), Damaged wiring harness pinched in chassis, Moisture on main PCB, Faulty main control board power stage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately switch OFF the mower and remove it from the charging station. Do not continue to operate until inspected.
- Visual inspection: Open accessible covers according to the manual. Look for burnt smell, melted insulation, or discoloration near the blade motor, drive motors, and wiring.
- Check for pinched cables: Inspect where cables pass through the chassis and under the top cover. Free any trapped cables and ensure they are not cut.
- Dry the electronics: If the mower was used in heavy rain or washed, allow it to dry in a warm, dry place for 24 hours before retrying.
- Isolate the fault (advanced): A technician can disconnect motors one by one from the Main Control Board and power up to see when E8 disappears, identifying the shorted component.
- If you are not equipped: Because E8 can indicate serious electrical faults, contact a qualified service center to test and replace the defective Motor or Main Control Board.
