Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the mower OFF with the main power switch and remove the key (if equipped). Wear cut‑resistant gloves and keep hands away from the blades.
- Check main power switch: Confirm the main power switch is in the ON position and the stop button is released.
- Inspect battery connections: Open the battery compartment on your Honda robot mower. Look for loose or disconnected battery plugs. Firmly reseat the battery connector until it clicks.
- Clean terminals: If you see white/green corrosion on the battery terminals, disconnect the battery, clean the contacts with a dry cloth or a small nylon brush. Do not use water or solvent inside the compartment.
- Check main fuse: Locate the main fuse holder near the battery harness or control board. Remove the fuse and inspect the filament. Replace with the same rating (check the Honda service label) if blown.
- Test battery voltage: Using a multimeter, measure battery pack voltage at the connector. If it is significantly below the rated voltage, the pack may be defective and should be replaced.
- Reset the mower: Reconnect the battery, close the compartment, turn the main switch ON, and reboot the mower. Clear the E1 code and attempt to start a mowing cycle.
If E1 returns after these checks, the battery pack or internal power wiring may be faulty and should be inspected by a Honda service technician.
