Possible Causes

Stuck front bumper, Broken bumper spring, Damaged bumper microswitch, Disconnected bumper sensor harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and wear gloves. Keep the mower on a stable surface.

  • Check bumper movement: Press and release the front bumper by hand. It should move freely and return to its normal position without sticking.
  • Remove debris: Inspect the gap between the bumper and chassis for stones, branches, or packed grass. Remove all obstructions.
  • Inspect springs and mounts: Look underneath the front edge for broken or dislodged bumper springs or guides. Refit or replace as needed.
  • Check sensor switches: If accessible, verify that the bumper microswitches click when pressed and that their wiring is intact and firmly connected to the main board.
  • Test operation: Power ON the mower and gently press the bumper to confirm it triggers and releases without generating E10.

If the bumper assembly is damaged or the switches are faulty, replace the complete bumper sensor assembly.
