Possible Causes

Unplugged blade motor connector, Broken blade motor wiring, Failed blade motor, Faulty blade driver circuit on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower, remove the key, and wait for all parts to stop. Disconnect the battery before touching the blade motor wiring.

  • Check motor connector: Access the underside or internal compartment where the blade motor connects to the harness. Ensure the connector is fully seated.
  • Inspect wiring: Look for cut, pinched, or burned wires between the motor and main PCB.
  • Continuity test: With a multimeter, check continuity of the motor windings at the connector. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
  • Test after reseating: Reconnect everything, restore power, and attempt to start the blades. If E14 returns, the motor or driver circuit is likely defective.

Replacing the blade motor assembly is usually required if the motor is open or shorted. If a new motor does not resolve E14, the main PCB must be replaced.
