Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and allow it to cool in a shaded, ventilated area. Do not spray with water to cool it.
- Check vents: Inspect all ventilation openings on the mower body. Remove grass, dust, and debris with a soft brush.
- Inspect workload: Very tall or wet grass increases load and heat. Raise the cutting height and mow more frequently.
- Ambient conditions: Avoid operating the mower during the hottest part of the day if E18 occurs frequently.
- Test after cooling: Once cool, power ON and resume mowing. If E18 appears quickly again, a temperature sensor or motor may be failing.
Persistent overheating should be investigated by checking motor currents and sensor readings; components such as the blade motor or main PCB may need replacement.
