Possible Causes
Dirty charging contacts on mower, Dirty or bent charging rails on docking station, Loose low‑voltage cable to charging station, Faulty charging station PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the mower OFF and remove it from the charging station. Disconnect the power supply to the charging station before cleaning.
- Clean charging contacts: On the front or underside of the Honda robot mower, locate the metal charging pads. Clean them with a dry cloth. If heavily soiled, use a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Clean station rails: On the charging station, clean the metal rails or pins that touch the mower. Remove grass, mud, and oxidation with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive tools that may remove plating.
- Check alignment: Place the mower in the dock manually and ensure both charging pads make firm contact with the station rails. Adjust the station position on the lawn if the mower approaches at an angle.
- Inspect low‑voltage cable: Follow the cable from the power supply to the charging station. Ensure the plug is fully seated and the cable is not damaged or pinched.
- Power cycle: Unplug the station power supply for 30 seconds, plug it back in, then place the mower on the station and check if E2 clears.
If the error persists, the charging station control board or internal harness may be defective and should be tested or replaced by a Honda service center.
