Possible Causes

Defective tilt sensor module, Loose tilt sensor connector, Damaged wiring harness to safety sensors, Incorrect mounting angle of sensor after impact

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the mower is on a flat, stable surface. Turn it OFF before opening any covers.

  • Reset position: Place the mower on level ground and wait 30–60 seconds. Turn it ON and see if the error clears; some Honda models require a stable position to reset the tilt alarm.
  • Inspect for impact damage: Check the chassis for signs of a recent collision or drop that could have shifted the tilt sensor.
  • Check sensor connection: Access the main control compartment and locate the tilt sensor (often a small module fixed to the chassis). Ensure its connector is fully seated and the wiring harness is not pinched.
  • Power cycle: Disconnect the battery for 2–3 minutes, reconnect, and restart the mower.

If E6 persists, the tilt sensor module itself is likely faulty and should be replaced with a Honda‑specified part to maintain safety compliance.
