Possible Causes
Shorted battery cells, Damaged charging contacts causing partial short, Faulty charging station electronics, Internal wiring fault in mower
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the mower OFF and disconnect the charging station from mains power before inspection.
- Inspect contacts: Check both mower and station contacts for bent metal, foreign objects, or wet grass bridging the contacts. Clean and dry thoroughly.
- Check for heat or smell: After a brief charging attempt, feel (carefully) for unusual warmth around the battery area or station and note any burnt smell. If present, stop use immediately.
- Battery age check: If the battery is several seasons old and runtime has decreased, suspect a failing battery causing overcurrent. Replace with a Husqvarna-approved battery pack.
- Test with another station (if available): If you have access to a known-good station of the same model, test the mower there to isolate whether the fault is in the mower or station.
- Do not bypass safety: If the error persists after cleaning and battery replacement, the charging electronics may be faulty. This requires professional service or replacement of the charging station or mower main board.
