Possible Causes
Damaged or unbalanced cutting disc, Worn wheel bearings, Debris stuck under chassis, Loose motor mounts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove it from the lawn.
- Identify noise source: Run the mower briefly while lifted (if safe per manual) or listen while it starts on the ground to determine if noise comes from blades or wheels.
- Inspect cutting disc: Check for bends, cracks, or missing blades. Replace the disc if damaged.
- Clean underside: Remove all packed grass and debris from the deck and around wheels.
- Check wheel play: Wiggle each wheel side-to-side. Excessive play may indicate worn bearings or axles that need replacement.
- Tighten fasteners: Verify that motor mounts and chassis screws are secure.
