Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation around electronics, Prolonged operation in direct sun and high ambient temperature, Blade motor overloaded by tall grass, Cooling path inside chassis clogged with debris
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the mower and allow it to cool in a shaded, ventilated area.
- Clean ventilation paths: Inspect the underside and sides of the Hyundai mower for cooling slots. Remove grass clippings and dust with a brush or low-pressure air.
- Reduce cutting load: Raise the cutting height one or two steps and mow more frequently so the mower is not forced to cut very tall or wet grass.
- Avoid peak heat: Adjust the mowing schedule so the mower runs in the early morning or evening rather than midday sun.
- Check blade sharpness: Dull blades increase motor load and heat. Replace with genuine Hyundai blades if they are nicked or blunt.
- Inspect internal fan (if equipped): Some models have a small fan on the main PCB or motor. Ensure it spins freely and is not obstructed.
