Possible Causes
Magnetic interference from buried cables or metal objects, Compass sensor calibration lost, Compass module faulty, Loose compass connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the mower before moving it or opening covers.
- Relocate from interference: Move the mower away from large metal objects, steel-reinforced concrete, or underground power cables and restart.
- Run compass calibration: Use the settings menu to start a compass calibration routine if your Hyundai model supports it. Follow on-screen instructions carefully.
- Inspect compass module: Inside the mower, locate the small compass/IMU board. Ensure it is firmly mounted and its connector is secure.
- Check mounting orientation: The compass board must be installed in the correct orientation (arrow or mark pointing forward). If it was removed, reinstall correctly.
- Replace module: If E16 persists and navigation remains erratic, replace the compass/IMU module.
