Possible Causes
Cutting deck jammed with grass or branches, Blade motor overheated, Blade motor wiring loose, Defective blade motor driver on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch the main power OFF and remove the battery connector if accessible. Never work near the blades with power on.
- Inspect cutting deck: Turn the mower on its side according to the manual. Remove any built-up grass, twine, or branches around the blade disc and motor shaft. Ensure the Hyundai cutting blades can rotate freely by hand (wear gloves).
- Check blades: If blades are bent or catching on the deck, replace the Hyundai replacement blades and screws as a set. Do not reuse damaged screws.
- Cool-down period: If the mower was cutting very tall or wet grass, allow 20–30 minutes for the blade motor to cool, then restart.
- Check wiring: With power off, inspect the blade motor connector where it plugs into the main control board. Ensure it is fully seated and not corroded.
- Test run: Place the mower on short grass and start a manual mow cycle. If E2 reappears quickly with a free-spinning blade, the blade motor or main PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced.
