Possible Causes
Broken boundary wire, Loose boundary wire connection at charging station, Faulty boundary transmitter in charging base, Interference from nearby cables
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the charging station from mains before working on the boundary wire.
- Check boundary LED: Many Kress stations have an LED indicating boundary loop status. A flashing or off LED suggests a break or short in the loop.
- Inspect connections: Open the boundary wire terminals on the charging station and ensure both wire ends are firmly clamped and not corroded.
- Walk the perimeter: Follow the boundary wire around the lawn, looking for cuts, chew marks, or places where gardening tools may have damaged it. Repair breaks using Kress Boundary Wire Connectors and compatible wire.
- Check for shorts: Ensure the wire is not twisted together or touching itself in unintended places, especially at guide wire junctions.
- Test after repair: Reconnect power to the station, confirm the boundary LED shows a healthy loop, then restart the mower. If E12 persists with a good loop, the Charging Station Boundary Transmitter or the mower's Loop Sensor Board may be faulty.
