Possible Causes
Left wheel jammed by debris, Damaged left drive motor gearbox, Broken left wheel encoder, Loose motor connector on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF main power and chock the mower so it cannot roll unexpectedly.
- Inspect left wheel: Check the left drive wheel for stones, branches, or wire wrapped around the axle. Remove any obstructions.
- Spin wheel by hand: Lift the left side and rotate the wheel. It should turn smoothly with some gearbox resistance. Grinding or binding indicates gearbox damage.
- Check tire condition: Ensure the tire is not deformed and is properly seated on the rim.
- Inspect wiring: Open the housing and trace the left motor cable from the wheel to the Main Control Board. Confirm the connector is fully seated and wires are intact.
- Test drive: With the mower lifted and supported, power ON and start a test. Observe if the left wheel attempts to turn. If it does not move or moves erratically, replace the Left Drive Motor Assembly (including gearbox and encoder).
