Possible Causes
Battery pack deeply discharged, Battery connector loose or oxidized, Main board power input fault, Onboard fuse or current sensor tripped
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the main power switch OFF and remove the mower from the lawn. Wear cut‑resistant gloves when handling the mower.
- Check the main power switch: Ensure the mower's main power switch (usually under the top cover) is set to ON. Toggle it OFF and back ON.
- Inspect the battery connection: Open the battery compartment (typically under the rear/top cover). Verify the LandXcape lithium battery pack connector is fully seated in the wiring harness. Look for corrosion or burnt marks on the battery plug and socket.
- Measure battery voltage: With a multimeter, measure the voltage at the battery terminals. Compare to the rated voltage on the LandXcape battery label. If it is significantly below nominal (e.g., < 18 V on a 20 V pack), the pack may be in deep discharge.
- Force charge on base: Place the mower firmly onto the LandXcape charging station, ensuring both charging pins touch the base contacts. Leave it for at least 2–3 hours. If E1 persists and the battery voltage does not rise, the battery pack is likely defective.
- Inspect main board input: With power OFF and battery disconnected, remove the top cover and visually inspect the main PCB for blown components, burnt smell, or a blown onboard fuse near the battery input.
- When to stop: If you see melted plastic, burnt PCB tracks, or the battery is swollen, do not attempt further repair. Replace the battery pack or main board and, if unsure, contact a LandXcape service technician.
