Possible Causes
Mowing in very high ambient temperature, Battery cooling blocked by debris, Failing battery temperature sensor, Battery pack internal fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove it from direct sunlight. Do not open or puncture the battery pack.
- Cool down: Allow the mower to cool in a shaded, ventilated area for at least 30–60 minutes. Do not charge a hot battery.
- Clean vents: Inspect and clean any ventilation openings around the battery compartment. Remove grass and dust that may trap heat.
- Check usage pattern: Avoid running the mower during the hottest part of the day. Schedule mowing for early morning or evening.
- Inspect battery sensor: Open the battery compartment and verify that the temperature sensor (often a small probe or embedded in the pack) is properly attached and its connector is secure.
- Battery health: If E13 occurs frequently even in mild temperatures, the battery pack may be deteriorated. Replace with a genuine LandXcape lithium battery pack.
- Do not bypass: Never bypass the temperature sensor; it protects against battery fire and damage.
