Possible Causes
Rain sensor stuck in 'wet' state, Contaminated docking sensor contacts, Faulty rain sensor PCB, Broken docking sensor cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power to the charging station before cleaning docking contacts.
- Check rain sensor: If your LandXcape model has a rain sensor, inspect it for dirt, leaves, or water pooling. Clean gently and ensure the drain holes are not blocked.
- Drying: If the mower has been exposed to heavy rain, allow it to dry in a sheltered area for several hours before retrying.
- Docking contacts: Clean the docking detection contacts on both the mower and the charging station with a dry cloth. Remove corrosion with a fine abrasive pad if necessary.
- Inspect cables: Verify that the rain sensor and docking sensor cables are intact and firmly connected to the main PCB.
- Replace sensor: If E17 persists and the mower either refuses to leave the dock in dry weather or cannot detect docking, replace the affected LandXcape rain sensor or docking sensor assembly.
