Possible Causes
Cutting disc jammed by debris, Dull or bent LandXcape blades, Overgrown or wet thick grass causing overload, Faulty blade motor or motor driver on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the main switch OFF and remove the mower from the lawn. Wait until all moving parts have completely stopped. Remove the battery if accessible.
- Inspect cutting disc: Turn the mower upside down on a soft surface. Check the cutting disc and blades for wrapped grass, rope, branches, or stones. Carefully remove all debris.
- Check blades: Inspect each LandXcape pivoting blade for bends, chips, or excessive wear. Replace the full set of blades and screws if any are damaged or dull.
- Spin test: Manually rotate the cutting disc. It should spin freely without grinding or tight spots. If it feels stiff, the blade motor bearing or shaft may be damaged.
- Adjust mowing conditions: If the grass is very tall or wet, raise the cutting height to the maximum and mow in shorter sessions. Gradually lower the height over several days.
- Electrical check: If E3 appears immediately even with no load, the blade motor or motor driver on the main PCB may be faulty. Check the motor connector for loose pins or burnt smell.
- When to replace: Replace the LandXcape blade motor assembly if it overheats quickly, makes grinding noises, or fails to start under light load.
